COMEDY for a cause is the theme of Echuca’s Brandrick Architects inviting the community to a movie night fundraiser.

Held at Echuca Paramount on Wednesday May 17, participants can see Snatched for $20 a ticket which goes towards ‘Johnno’s Run’ to raise money for Community Living and Respite Services (CLRS) Opening Doors project.

Supper will be served from 6.30pm for the picture to start at 7pm.

Brandrick Architect’s Angie Hancock said the company jumped at the chance to get behind the cause.

‘‘We are the architects involved in the Opening Doors project so we know firsthand what this project can bring to someone’s life,’’ she said.

‘‘The Opening Doors project is under construction and will provide a mix of accommodation, catering for people with significant disability who require assistance 24 hours a day or those who can use assistive technology to live a more independent life.

‘‘The units will have assistive technology to open doors and operate blinds, lights and air conditioning from an iPad or remote device if individuals need it.

‘‘Without projects like the Opening Doors Project people can be living in inappropriate settings, for example young people living in aged care facilities.

‘‘We are thankful for the opportunity to work on a project that will make such a big difference.’’

The film is comedian Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn’s latest flick and tickets are available online at
