Johnno’s Run fundraiser to tee off

May 19, 2017

Rich River Golf Club Pro Shop's Richard Caiolfa, Lucinda Harmer (marketing), and Opening Doors Project ambassador Steven Loader are ready for the Johnno's Run Golf Day fundraiser to tee off.

COMMUNITY Living and Respite Services Johnno’s Run Golf Day is set to raise funds for a good cause.

The CLRS is holding a golf day fundraiser at Rich River Golf Club on Friday, May 26, and there is still an opportunity to get involved.

The event has already been heavily supported by Rich River Golf Club members and people involved in Johnno’s Run.

Steven Loader is an ambassador for CLRS Opening Doors Project and will be there on the day running the event.

‘‘It’s such a unique fundraiser for people to get involved with,’ Loader said.

‘‘It’s the first time Rich River has ever done a format like this and it should be a really fun day.’’

The format has seen every hole in the two person ambrose event altered to a par three for a shorter course.

One good shot could earn a golfer a prize with each hole offering a nearest the pin prize valued at a minimum of $150.

Almost $2000 worth of prizes will be given away throughout the day and prizes for first, second and third are also on offer.

‘‘Rich River Golf Club has been good to give up their course for the day in raising money for a good cause,’’ Loader said.

‘‘It’s certainly one close to my heart being an ambassador.’’

Entry is $250 per pair and includes a golf cart, use of the driving range, four drink vouchers and finger food.
