Free entry to Lockington & District Living Heritage Complex
(A charge applies for afternoon tea.) After you enter there is lots to be seen, rooms and sheds full of items of Lockington and district’s past, you will truly be amazed.
The big shed out the back houses a brilliantly restored 1888 cable tram, which was once the home of a Bamawm resident. Then there is a caravan reputed to be the first pop-top built in Australia and that was here in Lockington by Hugh O’Brien for his honeymoon in 1939. A home built tractor, a 1924 steam wagon, tractors, farm machinery, etc etc. The shop and front of Diggora General Store is there too!
